Old-Fashioned Brioche Recipe
Ingredients:
- 300g flour
- 170g butter
- 30g of Linette
- 15g yeast
- 1 pinch of salt
- 50g sugar
- 10cl milk (lukewarm)
- 3 medium eggs
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 180oC
- Mix flour and Linette then add salt and sugar
- Mix the yeast and warm milk
- Gradually add flour, yeast/milk mixture, butter and eggs and mix until you get a smooth paste
- Cover the mixture with cling film and leave for about 1hr in a warm spot
- Knead the dough carefully to obtain a light brioche (about 15mins)
- Let the dough sit again until it doubles in size
- Put the dough in a buttered dish and put in the oven. After 30 minutes of cooking cover in a sheet of tin foil and cook for a further 15mins.
